Pinch Me

Happy St. Patty's Everyone! WE LOVE YOU!

GREEN EGGS AND HAM

Well Monday for St. Patty's Day Arin and I met at the park with our kids to join in the festivities. We joined our first play group and met all the mothers and their children for a "LEPRECON PARTY" We all dressed in green and got to wear St. Patty's hats. The kids had a blast. Ryan and Joey played at the park and then later sat down for crafts and cupcakes.

Ryan made a magic wand out of a toiletpaper roll with streamers at the end and then decorated some cupcakes and cookies. We also went on an egg hunt to find the GREEN EGGS in the sand. The kids ran and loaded up there eggs in their leprecon hats. After that we sat down for some lunch " Green eggs and Ham" Well the bread was green and we had some ham sandwiches. It was pretty cool. On the way home Ryan told me he was pretty happy and that he wanted to go again next week. Arin and I are going to start doing this on a regular basis. After that Arin came over and hung out at my house. We took some pics of the kids=It was a really good day.

WE HAVE A MELTDOWN

Well like I said this last week was a rough one...The kids just seem to be a bit fussier than normal. I had to get this shot, but Ryan was not to happy about it. He is pretty stubborn when he gets mad so I usually tell him to go sit and chill out until he can be nice again. "He told me his manners went out the back door today" WELL I SURE HOPE THEY WILL BE BACK SOON... Ryan. He went and hid in the kitchen corner and pulled the cupboard shut. Well the drama lasted a few minutes and then we are back to normal. I thought this was pretty funny though.

Beach Bonanza!

Auntie Sue, Matt & I decided to take all of the boys out Saturday because the weather was so beautiful. We all met down in Newport Beach at the Peninsula.
They have a playground right on the beach for the boys to play at.
I have not taken Maverick to the beach since he was a month old for fear of him getting sick with the cold weather, but today was just perfect.
He loved the sand...I am sure it felt pretty weird on his feet. He grabbed a handful to try and eat it too! LOVELY! Oh well that is a boy for you.
Ryan played with his 2 cousins Jake and Dylan who are three now.
They brought their sand pales and shovels and dug big holes in the sand.
Later we decided to take a walk down the Pier.
Jacob lost his shoe by looking over the side. So we went home with only one shoe that day.
Not bad for 4 boys.... It was a pretty fun day!

Love From Grandma Linda

Ryan and Maverick are very lucky. They have the best grandma's! This is Grandma Linda, Matt's Mom loving on my boys. She watches them for me every Tuesday and Thursday. And my mom takes them on Wednesday and Friday. I get to have them on Mondays and the weekends...so it all works out. You do what you got to do...but BOY DO THEY GET A LOT OF LOVING FROM THE FAMILY! I love my family and feel very blessed to be apart of all of this.

Wipe the Kisses

Auntie Arin comes over with Joey to play with Maverick and Ryan when my mom is watching the kids for me. I am very lucky to have my mom watch my kids instead of some stranger.
Arin was loving on Ry Cakes and of course he wiped the kisses right off. That is Ryan for you.

AS A MATTER OF FACT

...Cause Grandma Kim Said So.
HE looks like he is ready to just tell me how it is in this picture.
Can you see his little personality!
What a character this kid is!

Soooo Tired Momma

Maverick was soo tired tonight when I was feeding him. We had a long day of walks at the park, and played hard all day trying to keep up with his brother. By 5:30 he was done. He was already past hungry. I just could not resist getting this on tape. He did not know whether to eat or cry at this point. My poor little baby...he just needed to make sure I knew he was mad momma.

MY BLUE EYED BOYS

HOW CAN YOU RESIST!!! OH HOW I LOVE MY BLUE EYED BOYS!! I JUST WANT LOVE THEM AND KISS THEM ALL OVER! I THINK MY HEART HAS FALLEN IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN WITH THESE TWO! I THANK GOD EVERYDAY FOR THEM! WHAT A BLESSING IN MY LIFE!

New Home for Freddy

Freddy's New Home. I should know better than to send Matt and Ryan to a store alone together.
They go all out! Nothing but the best.
He is hooked up with a waterfall, a little cave to sleep in a and a sunbathing rock under the hot lamp. Oh...dont forget the beach they made out of pebbles for him.
I wonder what they are going to come up with next.
I heard mention of a home for the crickets as well! Yaaa...that is exactly what I am looking forward to...and I thought a frog would be easy. I think I should have went with the goldfish :)

I CANT HEAR YOU

OK THE PICTURE SAYS IT ALL! Ryan and Maverick fell asleep in my bed together.
Maverick was screaming at the top of his lungs until I gave him the bottle for night night.
Ryan subconsciously put his finger to his ears to block out the noise while he was sleeping.
Ryan does this during the day when he cant handle Maverick crying.
I was laughing so hard to see that he does this in his sleep as well! I just had to take a picture.

MUFFIN MaNNe~

Muffins anyone. Ryan helped Grandma Linda bake homemade blueberry muffins...

Yum Yum Ry Ry... Those sure look delicious. They made me a batch yesterday for us to take home for daddy. Ryan loves to help me cook, I actually signed him up for a couple of classes this Spring. One of them is a mommy and me cooking class. I cant wait. They get to wear the little chef hats...I think it will be really fun for us! Sue is going to go with us with the twins...

I will let you know how the food turns out :)

Outside Napping

I took Ryan on a walk to the park with his brother.
Maverick was being really fussy today because he is teething. On the way home he eventually fell asleep. Everytime I tried to bring him inside he would start crying, so I would roll him back outside on my patio.
Finally I ended up just keeping him out there for his mid-day nap.
I just watched him through the windows...
He loved it. I think the breeze felt really good. 75 degree weather isnt bad either.

Palm Springs Getaway

Ryan got to take a little vacation with Pappala (Grandpa Dave) and Grandma Linda to the desert last week. I think he might of had a little too much fun along the way. He stopped off to see the dinosaurs and then got to stay at the Marriott for an over night. He did really good being away from home for the night. Almost a loving it a little too much I think. From the golf course off of the balcony to the clear blue swimming pools Ryan was in hog heaven. Me on the other hand missed my little guy sooo much I was glad when he was finally home. It was nice to be able to spend some one on one with Maverick though. Its not the same with out both the boys together. I guess I am just used to the "MADNESS" :-) I even turned on Spongebob in the living room out of habit that morning...wowww I must be really sick huh. LOVE SICK FOR ALL MY BOYS!

POTATO PUFFS

Ryan is Such a little helper, Maverick has been trying out all kinds of different foods now.
Well lets just say he does a lot of tasting. Ryan helped me make what we like to call "Potato Puffs" tonight for dinner to go with the BBQ Chicken.
Sue actually taught me how to make them. You take Instant Cheese Mash Potatoes. Cook them up and then take Croissants or you can use Biscuits and scoop up 2 table spoons of the potatoes in them. Wrap them up and fork around the edges. Then you brush a little egg white on top to make them shine...
Stick them in the oven on 350 for 15 minutes and WAAA LAAAA you have the yummiest Potato cakes or Puffs ever. I also added cheese to a couple of them for an extra kick and they turned out really good. Either way you cant go wrong and they are perfect for little kids...I have to say the adults love them too! Ryan is feeding Maverick some of the mashed potatoes in this picture. HE LOVES IT!!! YUM YUM!

Freddy the Frog

Freddy the Frog...This is what Ryan named our new pet in the house. I dont know if this was such a good idea, but I just let Matt and Ryan handle the mess and the feeding of the "Crickets" YUCK.
Lets say thank you to Uncle P first for getting Ryan the Frog Tank. You are supposed to mail in your coupon to receive the tadpole in the mail and watch him grow into a frog. I would like to mention that the tadpole take up to 6-8 weeks to get here so of course that is JUST WAY TO LONG for a little one to wait!~soooo...we took a trip down to the pet store and bought a "Fire Belly Frog" Ryan calls him Freddy. Because Matt is having to clean this tank about every other day now we took a trip to Pets Mart on Saturday and picked out a new home for him. ALL OF IT ADDS UP...so we are going to have to wait a week until payday to purchase his new home. WE will make it nice and give him some more room because this thing is not working out. It is too small and we need to add gravel in order for him to be able to keep it cleaner for a longer period of time. So I guess we are going house "Hopping" to get this guy a new home. Ok that was kinda dorky I know...

ON ANOTHER NOTE~~~~~
While we were in the Pet Store I have to mention that RYAN got an opportunity to be on Nickelodeon.
A lady came up to us and asked us if Ryan would be interested in auditioning for a commercial they would air on Nick...Ryan answered " No THANKS" Well so much for that! He will have nothing to do with being in front of the camera unless it is on his terms and his time. The lady gave us her card and info if Ryan decided to change his mind. She thought Ryan was adorable..."OF COURSE" Ok I know...but hey I am his mom and of course I think my kids are adorable...I told her TAKE MAVERICK TAKE MAVERICK HE WOULD DO IT! :) One of our kids has got to make us all the money for the good looks :) They needed a 5 year old, so no luck. Guess we are just going to have to train Maverick early, cause Ryan will have nothing to do with it. Oh well. It still was pretty cool though.
