Nothing like Family

There is no substitute for quality time spent with your family...My dad and Auntie Ruthe came down for the weekend to see the family and attend the service.It was good to see everyone to make light of the situation.

Family means the world to me and it is amazing how we all can count on each other to hold each other up through hard times...

I miss my dad already, and cannot wait to see him in August.

Weekend Getaway to Palm Springs

For Matt's 30th I decided to take him to Palm Springs for an overnight getaway.
It has been so long since we have done gotten to do something like this.
This was well needed. It was good to go with my baby doll somewhere...
We felt like little kids...Sleeping in until 9:00
No Baby crawling on our heads in the morning
and the down comforters...I love MARRIOTT Beds! They are the best.
We stayed in a condo filled with all the amenities.
They were pretty much apartment homes that included a whirl pool bath tub, Washer Dryer, Fully stocked kitchen, you name it they had it...
and the pools were to die for...Cabana's and all.
Although it was fun to get away we missed the kids too much, so next time WE ARE BRINGING THE FAMILY! It will work out perfect for us there.

Uncle Mike June 28, 1953- July 8, 2008

MICHAEL GRANT EVANS

Uncle Mike Passed Away Last week. We held the funeral yesterday.

It was a beautiful service and everyone came down.

It was amazing all of the people that showed up at the church.

I ended up giving the Eulogy yesterday, I cried... but I know he is in a better place

here is a piece of what I wrote...

What is it that we remember most about Mike? I think everyone who knows him would agree with me on this he was the most genuine, kind hearted, loving man. His eyes were so pure and could see straight to your soul. His smile would warm the heart of any that met him.
He was a very loyal and kind friend. He was also very polite; he was the kind of man who always offered his hand if we ever needed anything. He was a true man of faith, a simple man with a gentle soul, who loved his family and faith in god like no other.

Mike will forever live in my heart and All of our hearts...
I will be forever grateful to have known Uncle Mike
Mike is in heaven now.This is not the time for us to grieve his death but it's our time to celebrate his life. He wanted to make everyone happy. So at this moment when we are about to lay his body to rest, let's all think back and remember how Mike touched our lives. How he made us laugh and how good of a person Mike always was.
Although it is sad that Mike is no longer with us and he will forever be missed, I know in the right time, I will meet Mike again.We all will...but until then I know he is with his mom, my grandma ...and who knows what kind of mischief those two are going to get into now that they are together again. It is good that they have each other and god has them to look after all of us... for our sake. So let us remember him and SMILE because he will continue to live in our hearts and mind forever. We love you Mike. Amen.

Say Some Prayers...

This week has definitley been a long one...For those of you who know

My uncle Mike is in the hospital. Please keep him in your prayers for a full recovery.

I just want to tell you that we had good news today and his kidneys are almost normal.

He will be moved out of ICU today. The doctors are saying we just need to take this day to day.

So I want to say thank you to all who have kept him in your prayers...

Mike has such a gentle soul...and WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! xoxoxoxoxo

Happy 4th of July~

Our Fourth went out with a BANG as usual! WE LOVE THE Fourth of July!

Here is Back Alley Spectacular!In our city it is LEGAL to blow up fireworks...so Thursday night daddy, Ryan, Mav, and I took a bike ride and bought about $70.00 Bucks worth of Fireworks.
Here they are loading up the goods from the garage...
It was great...we lines the back alley with chairs and Family and watched daddy do our own special firework show for us!
We had our friends come over Rebecca, John and Nathan for a BBQ
And then we had my mom stop by to join in on all the fun.

Ryan got into it this year...and Maverick LOVED it! He kept clapping and was not even phased by the loud noises.
Matt's Parents even got to join us this year ~
What is also cool is that we are so close to the Newport Dunes we get to see the "Big" spectacular right from our house.
It turned out to be a really special night with family and friends.

We started with a Fajita Fiesta at my house with all of Matt's good friends... This Food Was So Yummy I could not even move after I had ABOUT 3 HELPINGS...Yes Mexican Food is my weakness.

Matt and Nancy our chefs in the kitchen...And Gerardo came too!Adam and Danna and their new baby Meital came down from LA to celebrate with us too! There is my brother and Miho in the back with John...It was so good to see everyone.

...THEN ON SUNDAY WE THREW A FAMILY BASH & HAD A POOL SIDE BBQ.

Auntie Arin came with Joey and Olivia. Joey is such a good swimmer it is scary how long he can hold his breath under water.

The baby pool worked out great for all the kids...
Here is Sue, Jacob and Dylan. Sue Baked the Chocolate Cake for Matt! She is SOOO My Betty Crocker! THANK YOU SUE, IT WAS SO YUMMY AS USUAL!

And here is Ryan being goofy with Papala (Matt's Dad) in the water. You CANNOT keep these two away from each other...and the Water! They love to swim.

We even had little Madeline and Emma come and join in on the festivities. Here is Matt opening up his SINGING BIRTHDAY Card he got from his parents....

HAPPY 9 MONTHS MAVERICK

Happy nine months...

We just had his check up and my biggy boy is 24lbs. and 30 inches long.
He is holding him self up and balancing all over the house.
He still only has 2 bottom teeth but that does not stop him from eating anything he can get his hands on. Some of his favorite foods are: Mac & Cheese, Tuna Sandwiches, Strawberry Yogurt, and his little fishies...OH and fruit He loves ALL FRUIT!

He loves to clap, Loves to Dance, Loves to Sing, and Loves to Laugh.
All he wants to do is be able to keep up with his brother Ryan.
He is learning to drink straight out of a bottled water...loves this~ Cant get enough of this.

Holds his sippy cup, and SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT~...

I cant beleive how fast they grow.

Summertime and the ITS TIME TO SWIM!

Boy was it a hot one this weekend...
So we all decided to hit the pool at Grandpa's House.
I grew up learning how to swim, dive, etc. at this pool when I was little.
It is pretty neat that I can bring my own kids here now.
They have a 1 foot baby pool for the little ones and a HUGE lap pool for the big kids.
DADDY EVEN DECIDED to COME! YEAHHH! We Love When Daddy swims with us.
Grandma Kim came too! It turned out to be a really nice day and the water was perfect!
Here are some pics of our day...by the end of it Maverick was done. He passed out in the stroller...with the bottle still in his mouth.

Mommy has got her hands full with laundry up to her ears and Mav decides to take a nap in the middle of it all! I LOVE IT!

MY NEW TRACTOR

MAV Got a new toy! Well it was Joey's, then Auntie Arin handed it down to Maverick. Thanks Joe Joe! I have been meaning to get him something to help him move around, because the kid is into EVERYTHING and so I got lucky when Arin gave this to me...
SOME OF HIS NEW FAVORITE THINGS:

1.) HE SAYS MOMMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY~
2.) HE LOVES TO CLAP!!!!!
3.) He loves to give you a HIGH FIVE! Especially Papa Robert!
4.) He loves to Move and Groove to Music...He dances all the time when music is on....

Favorite Show: BoohBah- YEAH HAVE YOU SEEN IT KIND OF STRANGE BUT HE LOVES IT.
and of course LITTLE EINSTEINS He has the box set! Loves them.

Work Work Work

Our firm is growing and I have been working around the clock with the guys (Meaning the partners) to bring in more clientele. It has been great but boy am I tired... Our firm is now called Red Hill Law Group, PC. We our a Wealth Collaboratives, that work with your financial advisers, CPA's and Life Insurance Brokers to come together and find the best possible plan to fit to your families needs when it comes to estate planning. We do a lot of business and tax planning as well for families. We just bought a building and the architects are working on the layout and design of our new space. They did the St. Regis Hotel and Down Town Disney just to give you an idea of how talented these people are...It is like nothing you have ever seen. Not the typical law firm...We are going to have residential meeting spaces,(like a living room set up) including a coffee shop, wine kitchen and "collabratorium" to meet with all of your advisers and your families. I am learning so much and everything is moving so fast. We should be done in September...until then I will do the best I can on keeping up on this blog...but my days are pretty full these days...and my kids are by number one priority...when I get home. SOOOO I will do some late night blogging...just so I can keep all my peeps informed on the family....I have to tell you though after a long days work....who would not want to come home to this. :)

Too Much Excitement~

Maverick and Ryan love to play with each other... Ryan was getting Maverick so excited he could not contain himself. Every time Ryan would come up from behind the bed Mav would start laughing hysterically! Now that Mav can crawl...they seem to have made up some new games to play with each other. It is really funny! When Mav saw me filming in the second video...he came straight for me...he is fast that little one. Ryan does so good with him. There giggles are contagious! Daddy and I love it!

OH...and as you can see Mav...hates to wear his diaper now. Did I forget to mention that....

It is a contant struggle to get him to sit still while I put it on.

Preston and Miho came over last night to have a quick birthday Blow Out Bash at my house.
This was a last minute thing, but turned out to be perfect because everyone just happened to be in the neighborhood. :)

WE PUT A WHOLE PACKAGE OF 24 Candles on his cake...WOW P you got a whole box this year. I cannot believe how old you are getting...hee hee.

We love you and would not know what to do with ourselves without you.

May you have a blessed year filled with many adventures and good fortune...you wise one you....

The kids ended up getting a late night snack of CHOCOLATE CAKE...by the looks in thier eyes we could tell we were in for a night of BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS!
The kids were out of control. Oh Well you gotta sneak the birthday cake every once in awhile...What is life without Birthday cake ~right.
