Day at Laguna Beach

Well as mommy and daddy slave away at work all day my kids are having FUN IN THE SUN with Grandma Kim and Uncle Jared in Laguna Beach. Ahhh to have the good life...these kids sure do! Between the 2 grandparents...Ryan and Maverick are at the beach at least once a week.

Maverick was having the time of his life....he was trying to chase the birds every chance he got.
AND HE IS OFF....

And then we have Ryan, cute as can be in his little green hat ready to start building sand castles.
Uncle Jared and Ryan played together all day at the beach.

.

Here is Maverick with Grandma Kim loving on the beach air. This kid definitley loves to be outside.
Yep...it all about having fun with these kids...I wanna goooooooo!

Dad is in Town~

This week my dad was in town with all of his boys from church. 13 of them as a matter of fact.
He brought them all out to La Jolla with Dave and Bishop to visit the temple and do some deep sea fishing with them. It was really neat to finally meet all of them.

They got to stay in this gorgeous beach house right off of the La Jolla Cliffs. You could see the ocean right outside thier living room window. GORGEOUS! I told Matt we are going to have to come back and rent this house for ourselves one week.
Jeremiah, Kathy's youngest got to come with them. Ryan played with him the whole time we were down there visiting. Jeremiah....can you come and live with us??? You were so patient and good with Ryan. Jeremiah taught him all kinds of fun games~ Battleship and Connect two Four. Ryan was stuck to him like glue...as you can see.
My mom came down with us as well to get away from Huntington for the day. Joey and Arin got to come to. The front yard was gorgouse...we decided to turn on the hose for the kids and let them run around for awhile. JOEY HAD A BLAST.

Arin and mom left early, but I decided to stay longer until Preston arrived. We went down to Pacific Beach with all the boys and Bishop and had a bomb fire along the bay. We roasted marshmellows and watched Ryan fling them into the bay for the ducks to eat.

That night was a long drive home...just because I had to work the next day. But it was worth it...it is not every day I get to go to La Jolla and See my DAD for that matter. I miss him already. COME BACK COME BACK this visit was way toooo short!

CONGRATULATIONS NICOLE

Auntie Nicole has finally graduated college! JOB WELL DONE! It has been a long journey but she finally made it. We are so proud of you Nicole. Arin, my mom, all the kids and her family and friends from Arizona were able to see her walk at Long Beach State and get her degree in journalism. We love you NICKEL!!!!! MUAHH! XOXOXOX

HAPPY 8 MONTHS

Happy 8 Months Maverick.

I seriously cannot believe this kid. He is moving and grooving.
He crawled exactly on his 8 month birthday. YEAH!
The kid is into everything. I swear it was as if he was scoping out our house for eight months eyeing everything he could not wait to get his hands on. SO different from Ryan. The second he figured out how to get from the scoot to the crawl he was off for the races. The first night it was hilarious. He was on a manic high...he pulled himself up onto our side table yanked down the table lamp, knocked over our pictures, went for the television, pulled out all of our DVDs and started swimming in them in the middle of our living room. His look was as if he struck gold. I walked in and started laughing. I can tell I definitely am going to have my hands full with this little guy. Very mischievous, and wants to do whatever his brother is doing. He is going to be walking in no time. LOOK AT HIM GO!

My little guy at 8 months:
He sings to me in the morning until I wake up.

He uses daddy as a play pen and sits on his head in the morning until daddy gets up.

He is a little flirt.

He loves to smile and laugh.

He always tries to keep up with his brother.
He is my little bear.

He has two bottom front teeth.

He can pull himself up onto any piece of furniture.

He says Dada and Nana. WE are working on the mommy thing.

HE LOVES TO EAT. The kids loves food, basically anything you put in front of him, including sand and flowers. We are trying to teach him flowers are softy soft and not to eat.
He hold and crawls up you like a little koala bear.
He has long fingers.
He has a little temper when he wants his way.
He loves to give you open mouth kisses and bite your nose.
I love my little guy.

California Adventure

Ryan and I got to take a mommy and me day to California Adventure. It is the amusement park right across from Disneyland. My mom surprised me with this special treat for Mother's Day since Ryan and I dont get a lot of fun one on one time together since the baby has arrived, she thought this would be the perfect gift. It was well needed and well worth with. Boy did we have fun. THANKS MOM! Ryan and I loved it!
Here are some pics to walk you through our day together.

RIDING ALONG ON THE BUGS LIFE CATEPILLAR! RYAN LOVED THIS SIDE OF THE PARK. HE SAID HE FELT LIKE WE WERE LITTLE BUGS...IT WAS AWESOME! THE WATERMELON SQUIRT WATER ON YOU WHEN YOU RODE UNDERNEATH IT!
Everything around you was huge, so that you felt so little!

This was Mickeys Clubhouse where we got to see Handy Manny fix the bubble blower. A Million bubbles came out of the ceiling. Ryan couldnt beleive it. The kids went wild! Ryan was so happy to see all of the Disney characters. Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse and his gang, even Whinnie the Pooh and Tigger. We had a really fun day.

HAPPY MOMMA'S DAY

A TRIBUTE TO MOTHERS ESPECIALLY TO MY MOTHER!
To Say Thank you for...

Teaching me to find courage and strength

For showing me that each and everyone of us are a miracle from God
Encouraging me to do the impossible
Loving me unconditionally even when I least deserved it
Believing in me even though I no longer beleived in myself at times
Holding me when I was scared
Sacrificing your life to take care of ours
Taking care of my children
Teaching us to dance like NO one is looking
We are all destined to leave our own unique footprints
To take the most out of your journey
Leave a legacy to your little ones
Family is most important
Smell the flowers
Teaching us it's the little things that matter most.
Keep your word
and most of all
to Beleive in the Fairies!

So much of what we learn, we learn from home. But most of all we learn from our Mother.

I beleive that all of kids would agree that we have been blessed with a loving, and remarkable Mother. She has brought such significance and wisdom to our lives and still shows us DAILY the value of family, friendship, loyalty and love.

I hope you know that you are all I have ever wanted to be!

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!

I love you! Happy Momma's Day

Holding his own

Maverick and Ryan have been playing so good together lately. I think that now Maverick is "ALMOST" on the move Ryan is starting to see the light...Meaning...he has become more receptacle to playing with him rather than just staring at him. Maverick is in LOVE with Ryan and will try to inch his way to whatever room he is in. He is not quite crawling yet...but does this little scoot on his belly where he pushes up with his arms, then gets on his little legs and then DIVES right for Ryan. He holds nothing back. This kids is going to be my little bruiser...I can already tell. He definitely can hold is own around Ryan.
It was so funny because after their bath the other night I walk in and there they were...both wrestling with each other on my bed. Maverick has this little BEAR noise...where he is just not going to give up no matter what. He is a little animal I tell you.
Look how cute Ryan and Maverick are with each other. I hope they are best friends growing up.
Ryan truly loves Maverick~ He will run in the room and give him a big hug and kiss. Ryan is such a gentle soul.

Disneyland with Grandma Kim

Grandma Kim decided to have a special day with Ryan one on one, so she decided to take him to Disneyland. They really have not had a lot of time with just the two of them since Maverick has stepped into the picture, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity for the two of them to bond and go crazy together. They had a blast. It was funny we were all a little nervous because Ryan can be pretty timid at times...but I do know one thing when he is with my mom he tends to break out of his little shell. They kind of just go off into there own little world together...When they came home Ryan was so amped to tell me all the BIG RIDES he went on... we had a list of rides already picked out for him the day before...TO MY SURPRISE he ONLY went on 3 of those and decided to go BIG this time at Disneyland! Go Ryan! There was no holding back...His first Ride was Thunder Mountain, then he hit Star Tours OF COURSE!...he also went on Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, the Matterhorn and the Haunted House. They got in a bunch more through out the day...but boy did they have a blast. Between the cotton candy fix and gift shops gallore...He ended up bringing home a treasure chest from Pirates filled with all kinds of Pirate goodies. Grandma, and Ryan decided to buy Maverick a Daniel Boone Hat! Perfect fit for his personality~Ryan is showing it off in the last picture. He could not wait to tell daddy what a biggy boy he was for not getting scared. In the end it was the Pictures that told the story...
HERE ARE SOME FUNNY PICTURES OF THEIR DAY TOGETHER...
Reading Ryan's Face:
"Ok I am a little freaked out right now Grandma Kim"
"Can I do this???"

Indiana Jones Ride:

"Alright, Alright...Daddy would love this...daddy would love this! Is that a skull behind me??"

Just stand here and smile...I am doing good...I am doing good...
TAKE THE PICTURE ALREADY GRANDMA!

"I made it! See Grandma Kim...That was nothing! Nothing at all! LETS DO IT AGAIN!"

(The hand on the hip says it all)

Ryan With Woody!! He still is so innocent! Thank Goodness :)
