Swimming with the babes

Over the weekend it was sooo hot! Yes I know poor me...but I seriously am not used to the heat anymore and out here in CALI most of us dont have air conditioners in our homes because of the cool breezes...but NOT this weekend. I was praying for one. We decided it was time to go for a swim. I went and bought Maverick and Ryan some new swimming shorts for the summer. His first little pair of board shorts...HOW CUTE! We went over to Aunti Arin's house to cool off. It was really fun. Can I tell you that all of our boys are so different from each other. Joey (NO FEAR) Is so funny in the water. HE IS FEARLESS! He is jumping in, HOLDING HIS BREATH...and laughing away in the water. Seriously he was under so long it almost scared me...but he loves it. His favorite is to play DUCK DUCK...where he bops his head up and down in the water like a duck. He is like the baby in the blue lagoon who just LOVES THE WATER! As for my Ryan...well he is exactly the opposite. Dont get me wrong he loves to swim just NOT go under! UGGH! Me growing up in the water since I was 2 find this hard to beleive...So this summer my goal is to get him to swim! I dunked him yesterday...which he WAS FINE!...but boy he did not like it. He works better with daddy in the water with him. HE kicks and blows bubbles...but he just hates putting his head under. SOOO TIMID...but that is just Ryan's personality. AND then theres MAverick. Well yesterday was his first little swim lesson and he did great. I can tell he is going to be a lot like JOe Joe. WE DUNKED him and he DID FINE. A little gargle and cough...but was splashing away right after it. HE played in his boat most of the time...honking the little horn...BEEP BEEP as he passed by the people sitting on the side lines....

ME WELL ... Did I tell you I am white as a ghost...Man I need a tan....Arin on the other hand...Gorgeous...she is back into her body...strutting and all. She will kill me for writing this but she looks so fricken good! SO ITS just good motivation for me to get back into shape. LOVE YOU SIS!!!!! :)

Ryan's Room

I have mentioned Ryan's room before and how neat he keeps it. I guess he has a little bit of my OCD...HAA HAA. Well when you walk in he has got all his toys on display as if you were walking through a toy store. The thing that kills me the most about my little guy...is that If I go in there to dust and accidently move something and put it back wrong...RYAN KNOWS!!! and he calls me on it everytime. Scary I tell ya! Scary! Look at what a little perfectionist he is...I love it!

Happy 7 months...

Maverick is 7 months old today and with that came some surprises.

1.) HIS GOT HIS FIRST TOOTH!!! YEAH! No wonder he has been so fussy lately...his front little bottom tooth popped up.
2.) He learned to pull himself up in the crib. I couldn't beleive it...I walked out of the room and came back in and there he was standing tall and so proud of himself.

MY FIRST WORD

Maverick said his first word last weekend. The video is so cute because we got him to say it right on que. DRUM ROLL PLEASE .......DAAA DAAAA. Of course Daddy loved it! Now I am working on MAMMA. We will see how long that takes.... GOOD JOB MAV!

Walking on the SAND~

Mav and I took a trip to the beach to get some walking in down at the beach.

I have decided to start excercising more and what better way than to walk along the boardwalk.

Maverick Loved to put his little feet in the sand and squish his little toes in it.

He also tried to eat the sand~ Maverick tries to eat anything he can get his hands on.

My Little Cowboy

Ryan has a cowboy hat that Pappa Robert bought him when he was a two.
Maverick is so big that it fits him now. Yes as my brother has said, "I make super babies"

I know Robert is loving this with him being a cowboy at heart!

BAKING BOYS

Ryan, Jacob and Dylan took a cooking class together on Saturday.
Sorry the pictures are bad I took them on my phone ...aren't they so cute though in thier little aprons.
They made "Butterfly" fruit shortcake and homemade sugar cookies.
They cut the shortcake in half and made butterfly wings out of them and then made homemade pudding to put on top. Then they made an assortment of fruit that they cut up themselves and placed on top.
They topped it off with whipped cream as the butterflys antenna's. The kids loved it.
They also made homemade sugar Butterfly cookies that they got to take home.
The boys really had a good time.

AZ Trip Continued...

We took lots of Harley Rides with DAD! Boy how I love those rides...and I got to see my friend Stacey Gallegos too! That was cool because I have not seen her for a couple of years since she moved back from Cali. Dad even got Emberleigh on the back of the bike!

Sunday we had a huge family BBQ at the house and all of our friends and family came over. It was really good to see everyone. Makes me sad that we all dont live closer. Oh well just gives me a reason of why I need to go out there more and visit. I definitly need to stay longer so I have time to see everyone...I barley got to squeeze everyone in as it is...NEXT time for those that I missed! Sorry...LOVE YOU MISS YOU!

Our trip to Az

Well our trip to AZ was finally here!!! I have waited too long to visit this time and boy was this trip well needed for me. I needed a vacation. It seems as though one thing after the next was trying to defer us from taking this trip. From the car tires needing replaced, to little Joe Joe getting sick with ear aches... Arin was not able to get on the plane with him :( I just wanted to cry. Well I did actually. It was an all around mess until I got into the car to drive out there.
You get my point. I just needed to make it no matter what. When we finally got there, I could finally relax! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I wished I could have stayed a couple of weeks. Ryan got to play with his cousins all weekend. He loved it. Too Bad the kids did not live closer. Ryan misses them so much already! We are already planning the next trip for summer.

The kids made grandma a birthday cake, we ate and celebrated with the family.

We all had a really good night. Happy Birthday Grandma Kim, MOM!!!!! I LOVE YOU!
